Job description: Our client based in Duxford is seeking a Junior Technical Support Engineer to join their team. This is a new role within the company however will join an established IT team of 6. Reporting to the Senior Infrastructure Engineer, this role offers potential growth opportunities to a more senior role.We are seeking candidates who have previous experience with Active Directory, printer installation, device management, and an understanding of ITIL principles and their application.Who are we?We are Busy Bee Recruitment, an awarding-winning recruitment agency supplying both temporary and permanent staffing solutions throughout the UK to our wonderful client base.What our client can offer you:

  • Implement and manage Acronis Cyber Protect solutions to ensure data security and backup integrity.
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory services, including user account management, security group policies, and access controls.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in IP ranges/class, DNS, and DHCP configuration.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues and provide solutions to maintain a seamless IT environment.
  • Printer Installation, Maintenance, and Troubleshooting.
  • Build and integrate new laptops and mobile devices into our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution.
  • Provide first and second-line support for internal IT tickets.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Update and maintenance of the company asset management inventory list to ensure it is kept up to date.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in supporting Acronis Cyber Protect (or similar), Active Directory, and networking basics.
  • Expertise in printer installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with MDM solutions and Intune for device management.
  • Understanding of ITIL principles and their application in IT service management.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Understanding of software solutions:
  • Ability to work effectively and in a structured way in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of initiative as well as independent and structured way of working with a constant focus on results and added value
  • Can-do and hands-on approach
  • UK Driving License
