Warehouse Technology are looking for a Senior/Lead Business Analyst (BA) to join our extensive team of 150+ developers, analysts and product development managers responsible for providing the business with Warehouse solutions. This is a great opportunity for a Lead BA to work closely with our Product Owners to ensure we deliver business value whilst creating high performing technology solutions.
Why Warehouse Technology?
In Warehouse Technology we work closely with our users to ensure they have the right tools to get our products to our customers as quickly as possible, contributing to the business growth NEXT has seen over the last few years.
Working with us would mean exposure to new technologies and ways of working, getting involved in numerous business initiatives and ultimately providing our customers with a better service. Like all departments, we also have challenges with legacy applications and ‘older’ code languages but who doesn’t love a good challenge?
We run a lean operation in a quick paced environment, so we need our people to be able to work efficiently, accurately and well under pressure. We expect the right individual to have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team, be involved in open discussion and communicate ideas effectively. Having strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be advantageous and previous experience of working in a warehouse operations environment would be desirable.
About the role
The role of the BA will be to work alongside Product Owners, QA’s (testers) and Developers across multiple agile workstreams. The Business Analyst works closely with internal business stakeholders and third parties; as well as be involved in analysis and design to ensure that all features released are of the highest standard for our customers and stakeholders.
You will need to be able to understand and analyse both ‘As Is’ and then go onto propose effective ‘To Be’ Business Process Flows, and be able to document them in industry standard diagrams.
You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to drive key initiatives forward and hone the requirements. You’ll also work closely with Product Owners to ensure a full understanding of requirements to help shape and refine the backlog of work and development teams to ensure the quality of user stories and that they all include clear and concise acceptance criteria.
There will be multiple development teams you’ll work alongside to ensure they understand the vision for the products, design features that deliver business value and provide an innovative user journey for the users. As well as confidently contributing in agile ceremonies including backlog refinement.
Working alongside the QA team, you’ll ensure an excellent quality is delivered and testing signed off to meet acceptance criteria and business needs. You’ll need to understand the solutions implemented and that they meet the business needs specified in the requirement. You’ll also produce flows and designs that enable the business users to perform their role in the most effective way possible. As well as support and lead other BA’s to ensure consistent and effective ways of working
You will be representing Warehouse Technology in the wider Technology BA Community of Practice, contributing to ideas and ensuring best practice is encouraged within the team
