Barchester’s Learning & Development team support the training and career development of care staff at 250 sites across the UK. As a Learning & Development Admin Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring that Barchester maintain our reputation of providing exceptional care to residents, and as an employer of choice within the sector. Hybrid role with remote working with fortnightly visits to Head Office in Finsbury Square in London.

You will deal with general enquiries from staff regarding internal training programs, external courses; support remote L&D team members and other support teams with scheduled workshops and webinars.

As Learning & Development Admin Assistant you will support staff to access the Learning Management System, assist with e-learning queries, check and process programmes applications, maintain learner records on the database and liaise with providers and homes to resolve queries.

Barchester Healthcare is one of the UK’s market leading healthcare providers being the third largest in the UK with over 250 nursing homes and hospitals across the country. With a successful new builds programme with 10 new build homes being built and opened every year for the next three years, we are rapidly and successfully expanding.

NEED TO HAVE

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional attitude when dealing with matters in person or over the phone
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Previous administration experience preferably in L&D or other admin support role

NEED TO KNOW

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of digital learning platforms preferable

NEED TO DO

  • Respond to training requests from staff based across the UK
  • Schedule training in accordance with business requirements and agreed procedures
  • Input data and maintain records, produce reports as required
  • Deal with queries from and provide support to remote L&D team
  • Complete general office duties, including answering the telephone, photocopying, filing
  • Any other duties as reasonably required to support the L&D team
