Job description: Are you an experienced Learning & Development Specialist looking for a new opportunity?

JMC Aviation is working with a leading MRO Organisation based in Stansted, looking to recruit a Learning & Development Specialist to join their expanding team.

This is a Fixed Term Contract based in Stansted with an immediate start date.

The Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for creating the right culture and environment by encompassing HR-driven initiatives which encourage the business to learn and grow. Focused on professional growth and skill development of employees within the business by creating learning opportunities that help colleagues to be their best.

The responsibilities of the Learning & Development Specialist will involve:

– Creating a positive culture by role modelling and projecting L&D’s ethics and values

– Designing and developing training interventions aligned to the needs of the business

– Delivering learning experiences across a range of training programmes and courses

– Developing teaching strategies, materials and assessments which are appropriate to the workforce and needs of the business

– Contributing to the delivery of teaching across all existing and future training programmes and courses, including apprenticeship programmes

– Engaging in assessment processes of employees, completing internal training programmes, courses and formal qualifications in accordance with the requirements of the business

– Monitoring and reviewing the effectiveness of training programme delivery and identify areas for improvement

– Planning and delivering wrap around training support where required, including apprenticeship programmes

– Training new or transferred employees on company paperwork and customer documents procedures

– Managing supplemental training and conducting refresher training when required by the business

– Developing and maintaining a library of training, reference materials and documentation

– Developing training materials for new procedures and conducting training needs analysis

– Complying with Learning and Development standardisation processes and maintaining records

– Promoting the Learning and Development department by actively participating in company activities

– Contributing to the planning and implementation of organisational strategy aligned to learning, development and training

– Evidencing self-development by undertaking Continual Professional Development (CPD)

In order to be successful in this role, the Learning & Development Specialist will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

– At least two years’ experience in a formal teaching, training or similar learning and development role, not necessarily in the aviation sector

– Level 3 CTLLS (or above) or equivalent

– Level 5 CMI or L5 ILM Leadership & Management (or above)

– Level 3 TAQA Assessing or equivalent

– Right to live and work in the UK
