Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Spanish Studies within UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €62,233 – €98,548 per annum

Applications are invited for a permanent position as Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in Spanish Studies at UCD. Candidates must have a PhD in Hispanic Studies. The successful candidate’s area of research will focus on peninsular classical or peninsular contemporary literature and will complement the existing team of lecturing staff who have specialisms in poetry, cultural studies, global cinema, performance art and image studies. Applicants must have an excellent track record in research commensurate with their career stage. They will have near-native competence in Spanish and proven experience in and commitment to the teaching of the Spanish language in a university setting. The post is within the multilingual, interdisciplinary School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics and the candidate will also be involved in cross-School teaching.
