About the Role
Reporting directly to the Professorial Lead, the Lecturer: Aviation will contribute to the teaching, scholarship, research and professional activities of UniSA STEM. This position will be responsible for the development, coordination and teaching of courses in Aviation, including undertaking course coordination, evaluation and planning.
You will be responsible for teaching into areas such as airline management, airline finance, air space management as well as introductory level courses on the aviation sector and flight theory.

Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement learning activities including lectures, tutorials, and assessments and provide timely feedback to students
- Implement innovative teaching approaches, including face-to-face, online and blended learning to promote student learning
- Contribute to the design and development of engaging course curricula and materials
- Act as a student advisor by providing academic counselling, mentoring and advice to students
- Demonstrate a commitment to community engagement and be active in raising the profile of the discipline
Essential Skills and Experience
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent in Aviation or professional/industry experience as a Pilot including registration with an appropriate professional body
- Demonstrated ability to undertake teaching duties including the design and preparation of teaching activities and resources in specific Aviation areas
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to effectively collaborate with team members, aviation industry stakeholders and colleagues
- Experience working with students and staff from ethnically diverse backgrounds, and an appreciation of gender inequity in Aviation
