Job description: If you’re passionate about teaching the next generation of accounting and finance professionals, then this is an exciting time to join Salford Business School. As we introduce a brand-new undergraduate programme and reflecting the continued success and growth within the subject group, we are looking for experienced Lecturers in Accounting and Finance to join our team. You will have experience of teaching Accounting at HE level (Level 4+) and will be absolutely committed to providing the best student learning experience. We are particularly interested to hear from you if you hold an accounting qualification from one of the major professional bodies.

You will be expected to contribute to teaching and learning across our accounting programmes, but we would be especially keen to hear from you if you have knowledge and experience of the following: accounting technology, software and digital skills, accounting fraud, management accounting or corporate finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design teaching material and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area
  • Supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, PGT, field trips and placements
  • Identify areas where current provision is in need of revision or enhancement
  • Contribute to the planning, design and development of course and curriculum objectives and material, in collaboration with Student Information Directorate to ensure accuracy of central databases
  • Set, mark and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students
