Job Description
Full-time – 35 hours per week
Contract type – Fixed term for 36 months
The opportunity
Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Architectural Design and Media (fixed-term for 36 months, 1.0 FTE, UoE Grade 8) at the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA), part of the Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) at the University of Edinburgh. This role will be responsible for delivering inspirational teaching across ESALA’s undergraduate and postgraduate architecture programmes and undertaking impactful research.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- A professionally accredited degree in architecture
- Possess strong communication skills
- Experience of teaching architectural design, architectural media studies, and related subjects
- A contextualised knowledge of architectural pedagogy and innovative teaching methods
- Ability to set out, critically review and communicate contemporary positions on architecture, architectural media and its attendant platforms
- An emerging record of research activity, as demonstrated through high-quality research outputs
- Strong digital skills
- Experience of working around themes and discourses that will further the diversity of our community
