The role

We are looking for a strong team player who will make a positive contribution to our digital, architectural design, environmental and professional practice curricula.

You will be expected to deliver lectures, seminars and devise project-based teaching. Your duties will be mainly aligned to our BArch Architecture course.

We have a thriving research culture in Architecture at SHU and you will be given the opportunity to contribute to research, either through continuing your existing areas of research or benefitting from support within the department to begin or develop a research profile.

The Institute

Located within the newly established Sheffield Creative Industries Institute, our architecture courses have a reputation for teaching quality and high levels of student support and satisfaction.

We have a strong academic community committed to the critical and creative investigation of environmental and social agendas in architecture and the pursuit of technical and digital excellence.

We have excellent relationships and reputations with the professional bodies – the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).

BArch Architecture (RIBA Part 1) is defined and distinguished by its long-established focus on environmental design.

The MArch Architecture (RIBA Part 2) offers a range of pathways, including two-years full time, three-years part time and a four-year degree apprenticeship leading to Part 3. All routes focus on social agendas and new forms of architectural practice.
