We have a position for a full-time Lecturer in Built Environment, focused on teaching and research in our Construction Project Management and quantity Surveying courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate taught levels. A multidisciplinary approach to architecture and built environment is required, as well as good knowledge and understanding of digital design, including Building Information Modelling.

The Department of Design and Architecture has a long history of academic excellence across the subjects of Architecture, Design as well as the Built Environment. You will be joining a dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking Architecture and Built Environment team, and will be expected to demonstrate excellence in your work, which will be strongly supported through personal development plans.

You will form part of a dynamic team, which focuses on innovative contemporary practice and research including architecture, project management, surveying, and architectural technology. Knowledge of contemporary cutting-edge practice combined with an enthusiasm to work across disciplines are important attributes for the post.

You will have appropriate professional and teaching experience in built environment related courses, supported by professional body membership. Teaching experience in higher education is essential, as is a strong awareness of your subject area and enthusiasm to bring digital design practice into your teaching. You will have a PhD qualification or be in a position to enrol to undertake a doctoral level qualification within 12 months of the appointment, and have a track record of research and/or enterprise activity.
