Lecturer in Commercial Law at Queen’s University Belfast

Job Description

The School of Law at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Lecturer in Commercial Law.

You will undertake research and provide research leadership in line with the School’s research strategy. You will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and contribute to the School’s administration/outreach activity, particularly in the area of Commercial Law broadly conceived including, but not limited to banking and finance law; corporate law including corporate finance; international sale of goods; private international law and arbitration.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • A first degree in Law.
  • A PhD in Law or other relevant subject, or close to completion thereof.
  • Evidence of ability to produce high quality publications at an international level of excellence in Commercial Law broadly conceived.
  • Record of dissemination, commensurate with stage of career, nationally and internationally.
  • Ability to strengthen the School’s national and international research networks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality teaching and assessment at undergraduate level in Commercial Law broadly conceived such as, but not limited to, banking and finance law; corporate law including corporate finance; international sale of goods; private international law and arbitration.
