The Opportunity

We have an amazing opportunity to teach our highly creative Level 1 and Level 2 Media, Computing and Digital Design students. As well as qualified teachers, this role would suit a new graduate of Digital Media / Computing degrees, or someone who is working in industry and perhaps looking to give back and change direction – we would give you all the support and professional development to enable you to excel.

The Role

As a Lecturer in Digital Media with us, you will teach across a range of provision and work as part of a team to support students through their studies. You’ll work with our Curriculum Managers to deliver and develop our Level 1 and 2 Media, Computing and Digital Design based courses.

Your role will be vital in delivering the training and assessment of vocational skills, ensuring that our students enjoy an exceptional learning experience, with employability and professional practice at its core. About You

You might be a new graduate or currently working in the web development industry. Or, you may already have recent teaching experience. Either way, if you want to bring your expertise into our classrooms, we want to hear from you.

You will hold a degree in Digital Media / Computing, as well as GCSE A* – C / 9 – 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.

We are also looking for the following:

  • Confidence working with industry standard software including the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Figma, and other creative media .
  • Able to support students to develop and improve their Digital Literacy across a range of Media / Computing disciplines.
  • An understanding of the different specialisms used within Media, Computing and Digital Design and how they are utilised collaboratively to produce product.
  • A creative or technical portfolio of work demonstrating practical experience in generating Media, Computing and Digital Design related content.
  • An understanding of the current and historic developments within the Media, Computing and Digital Design industry is beneficial, along with knowledge of roles and careers in the creative sector.
  • A working knowledge of basic web programming (or willingness to upskill in this area) would be a distinct advantage.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent classroom management and pastoral knowledge.
