About this role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Filmmaking to join our multiple award-winning UG and PGT Filmmaking programmes in the School of Arts based at City Campus. 

You will be expected to deliver on a variety of filmmaking modules, however we have a specific interest in those with skills and experience in scripted drama and commercial producing and directing; cinematography; production design or post production editing/ sound design/grading/VFX.

About you

  • You will have extensive and recent industry experience, with the ability and experience to contribute to the academic teaching teams at UG and PGT levels.
  • You will also contribute to the development of professional practice aspects of student development relating to employability, professional practice, and work experience.

This post is based at our City Campus in Bristol city centre which comprises of Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island and Watershed and is home to UWE Bristol’s creative and cultural subjects.

Interviews are scheduled to take place at our Bower Ashton/City Campus.

This is a permanent post and is full-time working on a 1.0 FTE contract. This role is not open to jobshare/part time working.
