Job description: JOB VACANCIESINTERNAL & EXTERNALLecturer in Mechanical EngineeringFull Time, 35 hours per weekSalary: £35,170 – £43,357 per annum (Candidate holding TQFE will commence at £41,310 per annum)Riverside Campus*Pay Award PendingAs Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, within the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will lead on the delivery of Mechanical Engineering & STEM academic subjects from SCQF level 5 up to HND level (SCQF level 8) as well as some practical engineering skills within our engineering workshop.As a professional member of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will be responsible for accessible, modern, innovative, and fit-for-purpose learning and teaching packages for the practical and theory-based electrical engineering programmes as well supporting individual programme students throughout their learning journey.To apply for this vacancy you must have Degree Level Qualification or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering subject with Industrial experience in the service, maintenance mechanical or marine engineering industry. The successful candidate will also have industrial experience of using CAD packages and it is desirable to have experience of working on lathe and milling machines as well as relevant previous teaching experience.You must be self-motivated and reliant and have a desire to teach.
