Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Animation at University for the Creative Arts
Job Description
Would you enjoy working in a team, working together to expand the theory and practice of Animation? We are looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer with a personal animation practice and a passion for teaching animation movement and storytelling to join our BA (Hons) Animation and MA Animation courses at University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey.
We are looking for someone who can build upon and help expand our current teaching provision and our practice/research environment. We are seeking a talented individual from within the field of animation, who is passionate about their specialist area, questioning and inventive in their approach to teaching and making, who would also enjoy working collaboratively to contribute to broader team-taught units. We are specifically looking for an individual with experience in stop-motion and analogue/digital filmmaking, who has the practical skills, knowledge and experience to work with our students to develop their ability in generating meaning using animation, in filmmaking and expanded animation contexts.
It is expected that you will have experience of teaching at university level, or commensurate professional experience. We are looking for an innovative and inclusive approach to the teaching of animation, and you should be able to demonstrate an awareness of contemporary critical issues in the field globally. You must evidence a commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and widening participation in teaching, research, and university life.
