Join ITV.Your impact sends ripples.The teamFrom Line of Duty to Love Island, in Global Partnerships we sell shows from our catalogue of 90,000 hours and licence our biggest brands from creators and producers everywhere sharing global and local stories with networks partners and streamers all over the world and we go beyond the TV screen into digital, social, merchandise, sponsorship, events, licensing, gaming, and more.The roleYou will be providing legal and business affairs support on a range of contracts and commercial deals with a particular focus on acquisition of rights (‘rights-in’) of scripted and non-scripted programmes from production companies. You will also be assisting with other business affairs activities within the department as required.Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Strong demonstrable technical commercial law experience
- Experience in managing multiple contracts simultaneously and effectively progressing matters from instruction to conclusion
- Understanding of the breakdown of rights in television or films
- A team player and effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines
- Ability to take a proportionate and solutions’ focused approach
- Able to resolve problems under pressure and make accurate assessments of critical issues
- Ability to quickly establish excellent working relationships with commercial and legal colleagues
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- A background in either television or film licensing, commercial contracts or intellectual property
- Previous in-house experience would be an advantage
- Two to four years PQE or equivalent experience (as a guide only)
