Job description: Our client based in Hertfordshire has a newly created role for a Legal & Compliance Manager. Reporting into the director of Legal, you will be responsible for:-
- Developing and overseeing control systems
- Evaluate the efficiency of controls and continuously review and improve
- Revise procedures, reports etc to identify hidden risks
- Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
- Assess the business’s future ventures
- Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues
- Assist with preparation of standard forms and templates
- Ad-hoc projects
You will need the following experience:-
- Minimum 2 years experience as a compliance officer/manager within the construction or utilities industries
- In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations
- Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
- A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
- An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
In return they offer a salary of £45-65k dependent on experience and hybrid working..
Expected salary: £45000 – 65000 per year
