Offering a range of flexible and hybrid work opportunities, empowers our employees to manage their professional responsibilities alongside their personal lives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.Join our team and experience the benefits of a healthy work-life balance whilst making a real impact on the environment.Main duties and responsibilities:Provide timely and commercial legal advice and support on contracts with clients and partners, including in respect of consultancy, marketing, IP licensing, confidentiality agreements, negotiation of standard terms and conditions, bids and procurement.
- Proactively manage routine contractual matters and legal queries to the team, with the intention that this role will coordinate the Legal Inbox.
- Support and advise in relation to compliance including with data protection, modern slavery, anti-bribery and money-laundering laws.
- Assist with training and compliance.
- Assist the team manage real estate matters and support the organisation’s net zero commitments.

Qualifications and experience:Fluent English-speaking solicitor with PQE of at least 2 years (or equivalent) experience providing commercial advice. The role would suit someone with a commercial background with experience in drafting and negotiating contracts including contracts governed by English law. While commercial contracts experience is essential, the following experience would be useful (but not a “must”):
- Intellectual property and brand protection, and associated registrations;
- Requirements of the Data Protection Act;
- Drafting compliant policies and processes;
- Public sector contracting;
- Knowledge of advertising, ‘green claims’ and consumer rights regulations;
- Working in an international organisation; and Companies Act requirements and general corporate administration.
Salary & Benefits:We offer a competitive salary and a performance based bonus. Our hours are 37.5 per week with 28 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and a generous pension scheme.At the Carbon Trust we offer flexibility around working from home and our employees are able to work from home for half of their weekly working hours.
