Role Purpose

To plan and complete the daily movement of airfreight and mail whilst ensuring that a high quality of service is achieved, and freight handling procedures are followed. Planning and motivating staff resources to achieve Customer SLA’s whilst maintaining H&S and Security Policies

What you will be doing

  • Ensure the accurate processing of freight in all areas in accordance with operational procedures, Handling Briefs, and Customers’ Service Level Agreements. Including special handling e.g. HUM, DGR, VUN, VAL, Radioactive material.
  • To supervise the day-to-day operation of the warehouse functions and achieve a high level of service and productivity.
  • Liaise with Clerical Supervisors to ensure effective communication and updates.
  • Liaise with management on a shift basis.
  • Attend meetings with Customers and Management when required.

  • Must have extensive cargo handling experience.
  • Must have excellent practical knowledge of Hermes.
  • Must be a good leader/motivator.
  • Should have the ability to plan and prioritise.
  • Should be able to work effectively to tight and flexible deadlines.
