Job Description

The role

The University of Bristol is looking for qualified lifeguards to oversee our busy indoor pool.

Applicants will be experienced leisure professionals who will play a key role in creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and uphold the Universities values and behaviours. Roles include swimming pool supervision, cleaning of pool area, changing rooms and entrance, and covering on the welcome desk when not lifeguarding. Applicants will be customer focused, have a positive and problem solving attitude at all times and demonstrate an aptitude for teamwork.

We have a range of hours per week available (6, 7.5 or 21 hour positions). These positions will complete the swimming pool rota ensuring a safe and effective swimming pool operation.

What will you be doing?

Roles include customer supervision, cleaning of changing rooms and other areas, setting up and down sports equipment, and working from the Welcome Desk.

Applicants will need to demonstrate develop both teamwork and hard work in order to deliver a fantastic experience for all our students, staff and community users whilst adhering to our Health & Safety policies.

We can be flexible with the positions to suit the successful candidates in line with the requirements for a safe swimming pool operation.
