Service Care Solutions are working closely with the Scottish Government to recruit a Civil or Litigation Lawyer to join and assist a Civil Recovery unit. This Civil Litigation Lawyer post will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to work remotely with one day a week in office minimum.
ROLE: Civil/ Litigation Lawyer
LOCATION: Edinburgh
CONTRACT: 5 months (Possibly extended dependant on funding)
SALARY: Day rate(negotiable) £288-£300
The Role-
- Mixed Interesting caseload of Recoveries and Civil Litigation matters.
- A general understanding of Criminal Law and the proceeds of Crime legislation in Scotland including experience of/ understanding of Civil litigation work or a willingness to develop the skills required
- Manage information and interpret data to enable you to make sound decisions and provide clear legal advice for government.
- Build working relationships with Colleagues and stakeholders, extensive growth on communicate of complex issues effectively.
- Possibility to attend court hearing but this would not be a regular requirement due to majority of hearings being online/ instructing local agents.
Person-
- Scottish Qualified Lawyer, ideally have experience of Civil Litigating and some background of Court attendance.
- Team player, friendly ethos.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be organised and manage your own workload in a flexible way
