Job description: We are looking for a Logistics and Refurb Specialist to join our growing Vehicle Operations team, working on site with our refurb and logistics partner. In this role you will have the opportunity to upgrade the journey for customers receiving one of our Nearly new vehicles, whether this be through lease or purchase. What you’ll do
- Refurbishment – understand the parts needed, costs and how our vehicles should be repaired – to make sure we aren’t over spending and still achieving a very high quality of repair.
- Customer experience – put yourself in our customer’s shoes and ensure you’d be just as happy with the vehicle and experience as if it was your own.
- Damage management – meet key metrics in this area/recharging damage costs
- Quality checking – ensure the very highest standard of quality on the repairs has been carried out on all vehicles prior to delivery, ensuring minimal need to return to site for rectification work
- Finding efficiencies – work to ensure we’re allocating resources effectively, costs across logistics, refurb and utilisation are as they should be according to the P&L
- Utilisation – working with the team at our partner’s site to move cars through the stages, identifying any that are stuck in the process to move these forward
- Account Management – act as the primary point of contact between our refurbishment partner and Octopus Electric Vehicles.
What you’ll need
- Hands on experience of working on the highest standard of refurbishment of vehicles
- Industry knowledge of parts cost/ smart repair of a vehicle
- Being able to work across teams on site, who will also have a lot of industry knowledge
- Being able to think outside the norm and setting the blueprint for how Octopus repair vehicles
- Shropshire based, as this is where you’ll mostly be (along with other sites such as Stoke/Bicester)
- To be at our London office once monthly, to spend time with the OEV team and be part of our culture
- Over 25 for our insurance and be a full licence holder
