The role
As a Logistics Coordinator you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We wish to appoint a Supplier to work within the Supply Flight receipts and Despatch environment and undertake the receipt, storage, packaging, and despatch functions of the logistics Supply-chain in support of HADES operations.

Day to day, you’ll carry out receipt, storage, packaging and despatch of MoD stores and equipment in accordance with current regulations, as well as:

  • Action Supplier deliveries, checking all receipts and notifying discrepancies to Supply Control and Accounting Section.
  • Navigate and accurately use LogIS Systems including VITAL and MJDI.
  • Provide escort for delivery vehicles to and from Supply.
  • Carry out deliveries of equipment, supplies and parcels to customers and sections.
  • Check and safely operate MHE provided for use within Supply Flight operation areas.
  • Complete daily housekeeping for all areas of responsibility to ensure safety and cleanliness expectations are maintained.
  • The disposal of surplus or obsolete MoD stores and equipment in accordance with current regulations

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Wyton.

Essential experience of the Logistics Coordinator:

  • Previous experience in Supply Chain/Logistics in a military or equivalent civilian environment.
  • Familiar with MoD Logistics Procedures and documentation
  • Computer literate
  • Able to be flexible to accommodate changes in work practices.
  • Experience using MJDI LogIS System.
  • A dynamic and updated working environment.

Qualifications for the Logistics Coordinator:

  • Hold full current driving license.
  • Forklift truck license

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
