The core shift pattern and hours will cover Monday-Friday 1400-2200 on a flexible any 5 in 6 contract (Monday-Saturday).Your TasksAs Logistics Coordinator you will work in partnership with the logistics counterparts and respective Warehouse Shift Leaders to enable effective and timely deliverance of day-to-day activities related to transport, warehouse coordination and administration tasks.Transport
- Overseeing and scheduling the day-to-day activities of outbound transport and inbound transport via Transporeon.
- Embedded communication with Warehouse Shift Leaders regarding status of deliveries and pick-ups to ensure quality of service to our customers.
- Ensure all deliveries and pick-ups are executed efficiently, specific customer requests or concerns are communicated to all necessary stakeholders.
- Support Warehouse Shift Leaders in their duties of dispatching outbound vehicles to meet customer requirements.
- Act as a liaison between hauler, warehouse operations, customs team, customer operation executives and value-added service team, highlighting any late runners to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist security, shift leaders and management team in the onsite supervision of transportation personnel (drivers).
- Track empty stand trailer availability.
- Schedule appointments for pickup and delivery, updating systems and documentation, including customs.
- Track empty stand trailer availability arranging for full trailers ensuring optimization.
- Forward Proof of Delivery (POD) on appropriate web-billed accounts.
- Attend and participate in daily outbound status meetings, sharing key messages and status updates.
- Ensure adherence to all security and operational procedures.
- Complete other transportation activities as required by the company and the customer base.
Warehouse
- Day-to-day updating and monitoring of shift handover document.
- Releasing of warehouse tasks in the warehouse management system, such as picking order consideration to picking queue.
- Order consolidation to maximize trailer fill, including related correspondence.
- Ensure that all required documentation accompanying deliveries are present and in order, including customs.
- Liaising with pallet providers ensuring that all deliveries and collections are carried out efficiently.
- Updating training matrixes for warehouse operative population.
- Completing time attendance records for warehouse operative population.
- Completing warehouse activity reports.
- Identifying and informing the Transport Manager of the knowledge gaps and operational needs of the Shift Leader 2200-0600, to ensure the company can support in bridging any gaps to continue achieving excellent service out of hours.
Your Profile
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Attention to detail and process adherence.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good understanding of SAP WM / EWM.
- Able to multitask with strong organisation skills.
- 2 years’ experience in the logistics, distribution, or LTL.
- Proactive with identifying problems, finding root causes, and providing solutions.
- Self-motivated, team player.
