Job description: We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Transport & Distribution department. The ideal candidate will have a background in Logistics and a knack for strategic planning.You will be reporting into the Logistics Lead and can expect to have the following responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all shipping and delivery processes
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely deliveries
- Optimise shipping routes to maximise efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
- Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation
- Manage relationships with logistics service providers
- Resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process
- Continuously improve shipping strategies to drive down costs and improve service
Previous dangeorus goods experience is required|Previous freight planning experience is also requiredThe successful Logistics Coordinator will come with the following skill set
- Experience in a Shipping or Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain role
- Previous experience with dangerous goods
- Strong knowledge of shipping legislation and procedures
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
