Job description: We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator for our Transport & Distribution department. The ideal candidate will have a background in Logistics and a knack for strategic planning.You will be reporting into the Logistics Lead and can expect to have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all shipping and delivery processes
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely deliveries
  • Optimise shipping routes to maximise efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation
  • Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documentation
  • Manage relationships with logistics service providers
  • Resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process
  • Continuously improve shipping strategies to drive down costs and improve service

Previous dangeorus goods experience is required|Previous freight planning experience is also requiredThe successful Logistics Coordinator will come with the following skill set

  • Experience in a Shipping or Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain role
  • Previous experience with dangerous goods
  • Strong knowledge of shipping legislation and procedures
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Our client is a medium-sized enterprise operating within the Transport & Distribution industry. Their strategic location in Reading enables them to provide efficient solutions to their diverse portfolio of customers.On offer for the successful Logistics Coordinator candidate:

  • £30k-£35k
  • Pension
  • Holiday allowance – 28 days + Bank Holidays

Expected salary: £30000 per year
