Job description: Logistics Coordinator, West Bromwich, £23,500 – £25,000

My client is a leading manufacturing / engineering company supplying a variety of industries including the automotive sector. They wish to add a new member to their Logistics team.

Requirements:

  • Previous automotive industry experience – desirable but essential.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS applications including Word & Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • A polite, confident and friendly manner.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to multitask and retain information.
  • Confident, clear telephone manner.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Duties/responsibilities will include:

  • Analyse weekly/monthly schedules, highlight significant differences internally.
  • Input customer schedules on to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (training can be provided) and reporting accordingly.
  • Provide logistical services for UK & International deliveries, including electronic tracking systems and POD (proof of despatch) information.
  • Generate delivery paperwork using ERP system (training will be provided) – PO’s, delivery notes and labels.
  • Assist the Logistics Team in organising and responding to a large volume of client specifications and requirements within a timely manner.
  • Liaise with teams internally to keep customers updated on current and future orders.
  • Attend Operational Meetings to review concerns and prioritise actions.
  • Progress product on a priority basis with Team Leaders.
  • Communicate with customer Phone, Email & Teams.
  • Review arrears on a regular basis and update customers accordingly.
  • Produce daily despatch lists for Production, Logistics and Despatch teams.
  • Provide daily updates on customer priorities in a form of a list to Despatch and Production teams.
  • Reconcile Daily Shipments V Actual, Report Concerns.
  • Assist Logistics Office with general administration.

Hours:

  • 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday
  • 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday

The client is looking for somebody with proven experience in this type of role, gained within a manufacturing / engineering environment.

You must be UK based and live within a commutable distance of the where the position is located. Sponsorship is not available so you will need to have full leave to remain.

Expected salary: £23500 – 25000 per year
