The Strategy & Logistics directorate at Montrose exists to support site activities in the manufacture and supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates.

The Logistics Lead is a key role in supporting these activities, managing the Warehouse and Dispensary operations to comply with EHS and Quality requirements.

In this role you will…

  • Manage day-to-day activities for the raw materials, intermediates, final product, and dispensary facilities, ensuring full compliance with EHS (safety) and Quality (cGMP) requirements.
  • Ensure that all legal obligations and GSK standards relating to the health and safety of employees and to the environment are fully met.
  • Lead and act as coach to Logistics Team Leaders and wider logistics team; cast the right shadow for their teams with respect to GSK purpose, strategy, and culture. Responsible for development of direct reports and their teams and ensuring timely and effective training within the area.
  • Embed performance management and hold accountability for the logistics areas and relevant metrics. Continuously improve business processes and activities within the areas, acting on improvement and cost-saving suggestions, and share best practices.
  • Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor – ensuring the Site complies with regulations.
  • Subject Matter Expert for appropriate GQPs and GQMPs and able to build and deliver appropriate gap closure plans.
  • Responsible for managing Projects for the logistics areas.
  • Present the logistics areas, and associated documentation, to internal and external auditors on request. Ensure audit-ready conditions are maintained at all times and the team are competent to present to auditors. Conduct internal audits within the department.
  • Represent S&L at the Site Inspection Readiness Forums.
  • Responsible for Compliance tasks e.g. CAPAs, DEs, Change Controls.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Knowledge of the cGMP requirements of active pharmaceutical manufacture.
  • Demonstrated change management experience.
  • Organisational planning ability with a pragmatic approach to defining problems, resolving conflict, and developing practical solutions.
  • Leadership skills, including development and performance management.
  • Knowledge of business processes (use of IT, report writing, KPI monitoring).
  • Report writing and reviewing. Preparing documentation for production and cleaning, including SOPs.
