Job description: As the Logistics Operations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in orchestrating a seamless transition. You won’t just be supporting the current Logistics Manager; you’ll be gradually taking the reins, steering the course towards a new era in logistics excellence. This extended journey will see you evolve into the driving force behind our Logistics Management, empowering the existing Manager to channel their expertise into shaping our logistics and warehouse strategy.

What you’ll be doing:
Team Management:
- Assist in managing the departmental staff, ensuring adherence to all procedures and processes.
- Monitor and support team members to ensure compliance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to facilitate professional development within the team.
Security and Compliance:
- Monitor known security procedures at Slinfold H.Q in alignment with the Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Ensure Import Export Control Compliance awareness, including adherence to Dangerous Goods regulations.
Training Coordination:
- Coordinate appropriate training programs for both new and existing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Performance Review and Reporting:
- Review departmental KPI targets, processes, techniques, and tools.
- Develop and implement reporting processes to provide insightful feedback to the Logistics Manager.
Communication and Trust:
- Create an environment oriented towards open communication, creative thinking, cohesive teamwork, and workplace trust.
- Promote a culture of transparency and collaboration within the team.
Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring:
- Analyse data to monitor performance, identify trends, and plan improvements.
- Use data-driven insights to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Mentoring and Continuous Improvement:
- Mentor direct reports to ensure ongoing development and continuous improvement initiatives are actively pursued.
- Encourage a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
To be successful in the role, you will bring:
Compliance Expertise: in-depth knowledge and practical experience in Import and Export regulations. * DGSA Awareness
