We are seeking a Logistics Specialist (m/w/d), located in the United Kingdom, Nottingham.

How you will make a difference @ FARO

• Perform daily logistic functions to include receive, control, monitor, sort, label, store, pick, move, pack, ship, and issue material
• Maintain inventory control system to ensure accurate inventory levels
• Investigate and report any found discrepancies
• Select shipping methods and appropriate carriers to ensure compliance with customer requirements and meet cost control objectives
• Monitor, track, and trace import & export shipments and returned items. Investigate, and report discrepancies
• Load and unload trucks as required ensuring shipments are routed correctly, examine cartons for obvious damage, report unusual conditions, and ensure all accepted shipments are signed for
• Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required, or directed to maintain workflow and meet departmental requirements
• Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules

This position requires

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Familiarity with ERP usage, ideally SAP
• Positive, enthusiastic approach to work exhibiting a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
• Bags of initiative, able to work without close supervision
• A team player
• Attention to detail
