What you’ll do

As part of the overall VBSE security team, the Custodian, Logistics, Vetting and H&S team (CLV) provides these 4 security disciplines to both internal and external customers. The logistics support role specifically includes escorting as a primary function

Role Purpose

During normal working hours, support the department by escorting Customers, Contractors, and internal staff within VBSE offices and UK locations.

Assist the Logistics coordinator with the timely and secure management of all equipment both received and for delivery to customers and suppliers.

Ensure all shipments meet Cabinet Office, NPSA policy and standards for Secure storage and handling of Assets.

Assist with the Secure Destruction of equipment in line with Customer requirements, NCSC guidance and NPSA standards.

Assist the H&S Manager with facilities fault reporting/progression, monthly AED checks, Quarterly site checks (Farnborough office) and other requested H&S related matters.

Assist the wider team in line with the Vodafone spirit value of Getting It Done Together.

  • Escorting of Customers, Contractors, and internal staff within VBSE estate.
  • Assisting the Logistics Coordinator with tasks such as:

– Stock inventory/Asset Management of receipts and deliveries
– Day to day contact with all VBSE logistics suppliers (eg. Bybox and approved couriers).
– Assisting with secure destruction of equipment with approved 3rd party companies.
– Reporting and progression of facilities faults and other H&S related tasks

Who you are

  • Be able to maintain Customer confidentiality and ability to hold Developed Vetting level security clearance.
  • Ability to work accurately and reliably with minimum supervision.
  • Understanding of warehouse environments and logistics processes.
  • Experience of controlling costs and managing within a budget.
  • Ability to maintain Customer Confidentiality and hold the highest level of HMG Security Clearance.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety in the Workplace.
