Job description: Are you an experienced Machine Shop Team Leader looking for a new opportunity?
JMC Aviation is working with a leading MRO Organisation based in Ramsgate, looking to recruit a Machine Shop Team Leader to join their expanding team.
This is a Permanent Position based in Ramsgate with an immediate start date.
The responsibilities of the Machine Shop Team Leader will involve:
– Day-to-day team management of the Machine Shop and Bush Fit sections
– Supervising all departments within the Machine Shop (Boring, Turning, Grinding and Bush Fit/CNC Fabrication)
– Planning and scheduling MPBU workload in line with the site production schedule, through Quantum ERP system
– Maintaining and ensuring implementation of all standard operating practices and procedures
– Training, motivating and performance managing staff
– Completing performance reviews, identifying training and development opportunities for team members
– Managing first level discipline and grievance issues for team members
– Maintaining the function of plant and equipment to include machine maintenance (preventative and scheduled)
– Complying with health, safety and environmental regulations
– Maintaining and monitoring stock levels of machine shop consumables
– Co-ordinating the efficient use and organisation of resources and equipment to meet the production schedule
– Planning for and supporting the implementation of new product development initiatives
– Ensuring component work is undertaken in accordance with procedures from CMM’s and overhaul manuals
– Liaising with the customer support team to facilitate achievement of efficient and effective customer service levels
In order to be successful in this role, the Machine Shop Team Leader will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
– Prior experience in a production workshop environment
– Prior experience of leading teams
– Computer literate
– An ability to work to tight deadlines is essential, whilst maintaining a high degree of quality and compliance
– Customer focused and able to build and maintain robust customer relationships
– Able to manage and develop a team in a demanding, customer focused working environment
– Right to live and work in the UK
