The Role
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the role will consist of leading, managing and developing the finance and administration function. Analysing new business opportunities as well as continuing to manage existing relationships.
As the Management Accountant you will be involved in the following duties:
Financial leadership of the department, including the provision of robust and meaningful financial information to the Board
Analysis of new business opportunities, advising on commercial contracts and pricing
Management of cash, working capital requirements and cash flow forecastin
Ensuring suppliers, sub-contractors and members are all paid timeously.
Presentation of high-quality management accounts and other management information on a monthly and ad hoc basis as required.
Leading the annual Budget process with quarterly forecast updates to support, short and medium and long-term objectives
Analysis and monitoring of all major capital expenditure
Maintaining a rolling 3-year business plan in accordance with the policy objectives set by the Leadership Team
Leading, managing and developing the finance and administration function.
Preparation of annual Financial Statements for audit purposes
Oversight and development of robust financial controls and processes.
All aspects of banking and managing the relationship with the bank
Corporation Tax calculations and planning for all Group Companies.
Overseeing VAT and payroll compliance
Maintenance and development of finance and accounting systems as well as other business critical systems
The delivery of ad hoc projects, both financial and operational
Meet deadlines and work within the parameters set by the MD.
Support the MD by undertaking additional areas of work in order to achieve the aims of the business needs.
Manage the recruitment and induction of management/senior employees.
Identify training needs for your team and discuss with them.
Conduct appraisal/probationary reviews and meet with employees to discuss progress on a regular basis.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following:
Qualified Accountant (ACCA or Equal) or Part Qualified
Senior Finance Leadership within a large growth, multi company and reporting business
Strong commercial expertise

The position of Management Accountant offers a competitive salary of between £40,000 – £45,000 including performance based bonus.
