Job Description
The University’s Finance Directorate is responsible for the delivery of professional financial and accounting advice and decision support services to University staff and external stakeholders. It also ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory financial requirements.
This role is within the Research team within Management Accounts which provides high-level management accounting services and specialist support for stakeholders across the University, whilst ensuring the integrity of data contained in the finance system and compliance with external regulation and internal policies.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the University’s ‘Transforming Lives’ strategy. Management Accounting is key in providing an accurate budgeting and forecasting function and robust financial advice enabling effective decision support and allocation of resources, critical to the successful delivery of our strategy.
Being an experienced / qualified accountant, you will have significant experience of delivering a management accounting service in an environment of complex regulations and procedures and liaising with a varied range of stakeholders.
You will also be familiar with supporting regulatory internal and external grant audits. You will be able to demonstrate a high level of technical competence and strong communication skills.
