The unique strength of our client lies in connecting best-in-class capabilities to achieve success.Role Description:The Finance Manager / Management Accountant position is a pivotal role within our organisation, integral to both maintaining financial health and steering strategic decision-making. This multifaceted role involves producing accurate and timely financial reports, collaborating across departments to develop budgets, conducting cost analyses, and offering valuable insights into financial performance. As a Finance Manager, responsibilities extend to overseeing month-end close processes, managing cash flow, and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports, providing in-depth analysis and insights into financial performance.
- Provide detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary on financial performance.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and conduct cost analyses.
Strategic Financial Management:
- Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage cash flow and provide recommendations for optimising working capital.
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow projections and analyse liquidity positions.
- Provide recommendations for optimising working capital.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Play a key role in developing annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with cross-functional teams
- Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Financial Systems Enhancement:
- Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and processes, leveraging technological advancements to enhance efficiency.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and implement changes accordingly.
Audit Coordination:
- Liaise with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Address audit queries and implement recommendations to enhance financial controls.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in a management accounting or finance manager role, preferably having a mix of both practice and industry experience.
- In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
