The Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a fantastic engineering company. We are looking for a manufacturing engineer to work within the aviation industry.

The purpose for a Manufacturing engineer:

The Purpose of a Manufacturing engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures and equipment to maximise safety, quality and delivery, and to minimise cost of manufacture.

Main duties and responsibilities of a manufacturing Engineer:

. Plan, coordinate and implement the most efficient and cost effective production methods required to manufacture major sub-components and final assembly of machines.
. Coordinate with production, engineering and quality assurance departments to establish / implement containment and route cause fixes to manufacturing issues.
. Implementing best practice standard work on shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximise efficiency.
. Management of BOMs and material movement through Plan For Every Part.
. Develop ergonomic processes designed around Lean Manufacturing principles.
. Provide production support to production departments.
. New product introduction, design for manufacture reviews, establishing processes, production launch.

Experience/knowledge requirements for a Manufacturing Engineer:

. 3rd level qualification HND in engineering
. Good IT skills
. Good communication skills
. Organised approach to work
. Ability to work under pressure
. Ability to work on own initiative
. Experience with Design Software such as solidworks, plm, lantek
. Good customer service and communication skills
