Job description: Market Operations Manager – GB Consulting (Government, Health & Infrastructure Market Segment)We are seeking a Market Operations Manager to join our GB Consulting Market Operations team. This role will help deliver sales enablement activities and drive operational excellence within the Government, Health and Infrastructure (GH&I) market segment. The candidate will report to the Market Operations Senior Manager in support of the GH&I market leader and Consulting Account Leaders.Candidate Characteristics:

They should possess the ability to influence stakeholders to get results and a good eye for opportunities for process improvement. The role will be instrumental in delivering efficiency and effectiveness across our sales and business performance processes.Responsibilities:

  • Market Segment Operations:
  • Play a key role in delivering operational excellence through efficient process management.
  • Participate and facilitate weekly governance meetings bringing analytical insights, helping to set actions and track progress to ensure continuity of operational excellence.
  • Pipeline Management:
  • Manage pipeline hygiene management to drive accurate sales and revenue forecasting with support from GDS team to make update (e.g lapsed pipeline)
  • Support effective resource allocation working with Resourcing to ensure deals are scheduled onto Retain at the appropriate time.
  • Deal Qualification:
  • Facilitate deal qualification process within market segment via the Consulting Deal Review Framework (DRF) to ensure deals are qualified to the mandated level.
  • Identify and categorise opportunities requiring increased level of qualification additional to sector qualification including, Consulting level (above sector), GB level and EMEIA level approvals for the largest most complex deals.
  • Forecasting:
  • Provide in-depth analysis of anticipated revenue via fortnightly forecasting process, including thorough evaluation of accounts and potential pipeline impact on business performance.
  • Maintain financial outlook to provide vital data for informed strategic decisions and financial planning in relation to accounts and competencies, including annual revenue target setting process.
  • Business Development (BD):
  • Monitor BD activity via Consulting BD codes to ensure strategic prioritisation of resource against high-priority projects.
  • Ensure use of correct BD codes to accurately report cost of sale.
  • Quality and Risk Management
  • Mitigate business risk by guiding opportunities through the relevant tools and methodologies e.g PACE, AML and Bridge.
  • Help to ensure multiple Government framework agreements are correctly entered onto Mercury and compliant with EY risk policies.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Ability to work under pressure and to work comfortably with senior staff.
  • Ability to ask clarifying questions to expand on the available information in order to get a detailed understanding of a project.
  • Deep understanding of Windows and Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly get up-to-speed using new systems and technology.
  • An ability to quickly understand new concept and process and to appropriately apply the new knowledge gained.
  • Strong operational acumen and understanding of a corporate environment like EY.
  • Demonstrable understanding of sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through to sale and associated operational processes.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and to turn raw data into useful information into insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
