The Role:

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our dynamic and innovative Regional Adoption Agency.

A masters degree level professional in marketing and/or business, public relations or communications, you will create, lead, advise on and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies for Adopt South representing the four partnership local authorities in order to deliver effective delivery of campaign to meet corporate and departmental service objectives. You will have significant post qualification experience at a senior level in a fast-paced marketing, communications or public relations environment and experience of managing staff and directing the work of teams.

You will have exceptional communication and organisational skills, uphold our equality, diversity and inclusive values, and the ability to relate to all different families and young people as well as your colleagues at Adopt South and our partners. You will be able to prioritise work under pressure and maintain accuracy while meeting strict deadlines and an understanding of the role of communications and marketing within local government and the regulatory and political framework it operates in and an understanding of the issues facing local government. You will have a good understanding and awareness of budgets and financial management.

This role is with , the partnership Regional Adoption Agency for Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton local authorities, with the lead authority Hampshire County Council as the employer.
