Marketing and Communications Manager – student recruitment and parental engagement at Diverse Academies Trust

Job Description

This is a highly flexible, hybrid role which will see you spending time at our head office in Retford, Nottinghamshire, and in our academies to provide support and build relationships, or working remotely in line with the needs of the role.

Due to internal progression within our central marketing function, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Manager (student recruitment and parental engagement) to join our highly supportive team.

This is a varied and exciting role where no two days are the same. You will work across all of our academies and settings (primary, secondary, sixth form and specials) to develop compelling campaigns and communications to engage with families in our communities, as well as leading on marketing activities in support of student recruitment. You’ll have plenty of scope to shape how we do things and will also lead our experienced team of marketing officers to deliver first-class communications.

The opportunity

This is a key role within the marketing and communications function. You’ll be a natural team leader, capable of building strong relationships across our Trust, as well as taking a customer-centric approach to place our parents at the heart of stakeholder communications. You’ll be used to developing marketing strategy and plans, advising on appropriate channel selection and ensuring a team delivers on-brand communications.

We’re looking for someone with a wealth of experience across digital and content marketing, campaign planning, and brand management.

If you’re a detail-oriented marketing manager who can deliver best practice in a progressive organisation, then you could be the perfect fit for us. In return, you’ll find yourself working in a flexible, friendly and supportive environment with lots of opportunities to develop and grow.

The successful candidate will:

  • provide professional expertise in the management, development, delivery and evaluation of marketing and communications activities across all our academies
  • support the building and sustaining of Trust and academy brand reputations
  • ensure quality customer-centric communications activity and advice that enhances parental engagement
  • act as brand custodian for academy communications, ensuring quality control and assurance is applied across all channels

Essential

  • Experience of developing and delivering marketing strategy for a diverse portfolio
  • Experience of digital marketing, content marketing, and brand management

Desirable

  • PR and media relations experience
