Job Description
Applications are invited for a Marketing and Communications Officer to work in the Communications team supporting the Postgraduate Marketing and Communication Managers. Based in the department’s growing Communications team, the Marketing and Communications Officer is a new post and will work across an expanding portfolio of postgraduate programmes and support on general marketing and communications activities.
The successful applicant will collaborate with members of the team and both internal and external stakeholders, and deliver aspects of the marketing and communication plans for the department’s postgraduate programmes, short courses and events. Responsibilities will include a variety of activities including creating, proofreading and uploading content for blogs, marketing materials and social media, and supporting events.
You will be a confident communicator, both written and verbal with keen eye for detail and excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work as part of a matrix providing support to colleagues across several teams.
Educated to degree level or equivalent with proven experience in a marketing or communications role, the post holder will also hold experience of using social media platforms, web content management systems and Google Analytics for professional marketing purposes. You will be organised with the ability to problem solve and resolve situations independently, as well as possessing good judgement to refer issues to others when appropriate.
You will be based in Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work but there will be the opportunity for hybrid working, to be agreed with your line manager.
The position is funded for two years in in the first instance with the potential for extension.
