The Samsung Experience Store (SES) team’s mission is to create best in class, brand experience through our Samsung Experience Store estate across the UK. Our aim is to delight all our customers and let them experience our products and services in the best possible environment. The SES team is always looking to bring creativity and innovation to our retail estate through brilliant retail basics, best in class GTM execution including impactful window displays, innovative and engaging in-store activations and events, and development of our customer journey.
The focus is to lead Samsung’s unique ecosystem of mobile product strategy known as the ‘One Samsung’ story, through introducing new initiatives that communicate the benefits to our current and future consumers’ lives. The team is also on a mission to transform physical retail and introduce Omni-shopper solutions that improve the customer journey.
The team has a very collaborative approach to project scoping and management through close working relationships with multiple internal and external partners. It is a vital role of the team to work with all parts of the business: wider SES team, Marketing, Retail, Content & Services and Product Divisions. External relationships are also important as the team focuses on building joint business plans with strategic channel partners that are often delivered through our diverse range of agencies and suppliers.
Role and Responsibilities
To develop, support, and implement the marketing strategy and plans for the Samsung Experience Stores (SES) in the UK. Seek opportunities to leverage and capitalise additional awareness, footfall and sales.
Responsible for planning and execution of the SES promotional calendar, including briefing agencies, working with internal collaborators and managing channel partner requests.
Deliver always on promotions media plan through social, search and digital to drive footfall and awareness for key SES moments. Manage delivery of media creative across all platforms.
Responsible for GTM and in-life planning & execution for new non-flagship product launches, whilst creating a point of difference for SES. You will also be a key support role and be involved in flagship product launches, working closely with the marketing manager.
Be fully immersed within the quarterly GTM process to ensure timely promotional execution
Understand the customer account requirements and opportunities by developing prosperous relationships at all levels in the account. Support to build and implement marketing activities which will fulfil these needs in a timely, creative way.
Support in planning and performing digital and print POS to support revenue driving initiatives and Samsung services such as Samsung Care+, Samsung Finance and accessories attach.
Strong alignment with the SES commercial and operations teams, to support aid sell in, drive footfall to stores, and maximise return on investment.
Lead contact for the production agency with responsibility for all print and installation requirements, including creating window elevation guides and managing POS production lists.
Key contact for the channel partner to support with project execution and weekly status calls. Work collaboratively to brief store communications to ensure strong and consistent execution.
Manage the marketing dashboard. Ongoing collection of data and inputting into the dashboard to maintain and update. Present dashboard and key findings to wider SES team and senior partners on a regular basis.
Responsible for retail platforms used in-store such as Visit-In push notifcation, Pricing App and Retail Management System (RMS), as well as SES webpage management, and implementing marketing tactics to grow key KPIs.
Administrative management of the SES marketing budget. Including PO management and monitoring agency spend against PO’s. Responsible for raising POs, including writing briefs, handling Statement of Work requests with legal, and reviewing/approving all agency invoicing.
Responsible for various reports and trackers used within the team, including CRM tracker, marketing calendar and laydowns, Proof of Execution for all promotions and launches and POS trackers.
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
Retail marketing experience preferred
Ability to manage multiple partners in order to successfully deliver on key projects
Highly organised, forward thinking and strong attention to detail
Proactive: see around corners and define a clear path forwards and to take people with you.
Experience of navigating and delivering in a large, matrixed, multi-national organisation.
Collaborative: ability to build a network, understand different views, overcome objections, deliver a vision and a plan and then make it happen by working with and through others.
Externally focused: ability to understand retail needs and deliver messages and comms that will generate demand.
