Job description: About The Role:
The Marketing Specialist, Communications will plan, manage and execute campaigns that clearly deliver key messages to our customers across a variety of channels – eg TV, Radio, Press, Out of Home.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring that campaign communications are executed on time and in full, delivering compelling messaging to customers. Inclusive of writing briefs, developing content and seeking internal stakeholder sign off.
Working with our media and creative agencies to ensure that advertising content and media performs effectively against the brief.
Continual awareness of competitor activity to ensure understanding of the market and ability to make recommendations about Communications content.
To actively participate in a high performing, engaged team – championing team work and contributing to team tasks.
Coaching other team members within a specialist campaign strand.
Liaising with other Marketing channels to ensure Communications are consistent through the line.
Monitoring of workflow within specialist campaign strand to ensure consistency, plan for future requirements and manage timelines.
Working closely with Compliance to ensure that all Communication is legal and truthful and with Trading to ensure that Communication is factual.
Management of costs associated with Communications production and media.
Continually reviewing processes to ensure we drive down cost and operational waste to maximise return on investment.
This role operates over a four day working week*. Based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

For this role, we’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience of managing marketing or communications in a commercially driven environment, preferably retail.
- Experience of successfully coaching and leading others to deliver.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office and Google Programs. Technical understanding of Print (press, leaflets), Direct Mail, OOH and Radio production and media is desired.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to negotiate with and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to coach and lead others to deliver a common goal as well as be a team player.
- Numerical, presentation and verbal skills; a clear communicator.
- Must be highly organised and able to prioritise workload
- Passionate and committed to delivering great quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise & flex to the changing needs of the business
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships at all levels with the ability to influence.
- Customer focussed with a positive attitude
- Experience of working in fast paced environment with lots of change

*The four day working week comes with the requirement to work 11 Saturdays per year. These days are shorter (six hours in total) and are mainly used for personal development, quarterly team meetings and supporting our store and site colleagues.
