Escalate issues where necessary.Act as first point of contact on behalf of the Consultant and the Trust and deal effectively with all enquiries from GPs, patients, other departments within the Trust in line with Trust Values.Action all enquiries effectively and respond and escalate where appropriate.Prioritise workload to meet demands of the service with urgent letters being completed within 48 hours and routine letters being completed within 7 days.Maintain an effective filing system, including use of scanning systems. Attend relevant Admin departmental meetings.Scan investigation results, escalate any issues and highlight concerns that require urgent intervention.Attend relevant Admin departmental meetingsMonitor consultants absence ensuring clinics are managed accordingly, following the Clinic Maintenance Policy.Participate in ensuring Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to.Participate in the Trust’s quality improvement initiatives.Assisting other specialties within the care group when required.
