Work Location: Hilton London Kensington
Position Statement:
To work alongside the National Sales Managers to actively seek out new opportunities in the appropriate segment. Maximizing new business opportunities for UK&I Owned & Operated hotels, to ensure the retention and development of all identified accounts. To manage and maintain accounts and create account strategies in order to drive increased market share and demonstrate value to both internal and external customers. Work alongside the National Director of Sales and SSSO Account Directors to proactively elevate accounts where necessary.
Position Summary:
Customer & revenue generating activities 90%
- Research new opportunities and identify opportunities within current customer base.
- Follow up on leads from any source
- Develop key new business opportunities to secure new business & partnerships.
- Propose and agree new and existing business contracts
- Identify opportunities for multi-hotel contracting and ensure all opportunities are contracted at a relevant discount/rate per hotel
- Identify customers with repeat event & multi-year deal opportunities and convert to maximize revenue per account
- Review hotel opportunities to ensure hotels are maximizing potential, support to grow conversion
- Keep up to date with new openings, hotel renovations and monthly promotions and update relevant stakeholders
- Work alongside the National Sales Managers and DO\s and assist with developing key new business opportunities
- Review opportunities as directed to create multi-hotel & repeat event opportunities
- Support with UK&I wide sales blitzes
- Coordinate & participate in national BBOB blitzes
- When UK&I account opportunities are identified, work alongside the hotel on property teams to maximize account development.
- Support and follow up on all international leads generated by the SSSO team to ensure maximum ROI on international trips.
- Attend and participate in sales initiatives, customer appointments & tradeshows as required accounts.
Planning & Organizing 10%
Track the production of all targeted accounts and new opportunities.
Review all (tele)managed accounts on a regular basis with SSSO National Director of Sales
Ensure all opportunity, referral and responses are tracked appropriately
Actively seek out new ways to source new business.
Play an active part in supporting hotel teams & SSSO team to convert key opportunities as and when required.
Measurement (Target)
- SIP target for Sales Manager – New Business will be set to combine a new business target & hotel performance:
- Hotel performance to budget (20%)
- Individual performance, targets as agreed by NDOS based on new business created (80%)

- GCSE (or equivalent) certificate (minimum requirement)
- Experience within a sales enviorment working to set standards.
- Proven experience managing both internal and external customers at all levels.
- Presentation skills and experience using effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage extensive amounts of information
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of salesforce or similar CRM system
Preferred
- A graduate of a hospitality management school, Hotel Management School or a similar degree.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Delphi or a similar database/reservations system
- Proactive hospitality industry sales experience
- Geographical knowledge
- Experience working in multi-cultural or international settings.
- Additional language
