They are currently seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their close-knit team of six. This role presents an opportunity to acquire certifications as needed and is based in Buxton, catering to clients throughout central England.Position Overview: As a key member of the small, dynamic team, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including:

  • Providing support to a diverse clientele, ranging from large enterprises to small businesses across various industries.
  • Balancing office-based tasks with on-site customer visits.
  • Engaging in end-to-end project work opportunities.
  • Anticipating the evolution of your role within the team, shaped by your skills and expertise in this collaborative environment.
  • Emphasizing continuous development and enhancement.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong networking knowledge, encompassing DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
  • VoIP experience.
  • Proficiency with on-premise Windows server technologies (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, Group Policy).
  • Familiarity with Wi-Fi technologies, preferably Ubiquiti.
  • Hands-on experience with NAS devices, with preference given to Synology.
  • Proficiency in configuring and installing firewalls, particularly Draytek and pfSense.
  • Expertise in managing Endpoint Security products, preferably ESET.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Essentials.
  • Effective communication with customers via phone and email.
  • Windows 10/11 Desktop Support, Troubleshooting, Problem-solving.
  • Administration, support, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Office Suite).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Azure Active Directory, and Intune administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus.
  • Previous experience in IT support.
  • Possession of a full UK driving license and a personal vehicle for limited company use (company van available based on experience).
  • Residing within a one-hour commute of our Buxton office.
