Job description: Manpower is recruiting Laundry Operatives to work on behalf of our client, the NHS.As a Laundry Operative, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of their laundry facility. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of laundry items, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the work area, and upholding our commitment to delivering exceptional service.Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures
- Operate industrial laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry facility
- Adhere to quality and productivity standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to complete mandatory training modules prior to starting
Contract: Temporary, duration ongoingLocation: ExeterHours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 4.00 pm. Overtime shifts are Saturdays and Sundays 6.00 am – 2.00 pmHourly rate: Weekdays £11.45 | Saturdays £16.14 | Sundays & Bank Holidays £20.95The role offers an immediate start subject to satisfactory written references, DBS check (Manpower covers the cost) and completion of mandatory training modules prior to starting.
