Job description: Manpower is recruiting Laundry Operatives to work on behalf of our public sector client, the NHS.Location: ExeterJob type: Temporary, duration ongoingHours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 4.00 pm. Overtime shifts are Saturdays and Sundays 6.00 am – 2.00 pmHourly rate: Weekdays £11.45 | Saturdays £16.14 | Sundays & Bank Holidays £20.95The RoleAs a Laundry Operative, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the laundry facility. You will be responsible for ensuring all items are processed to the required quality standards and delivered “on-time” while maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff.Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry facility
- Adhere to quality and productivity standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an ancillary or factory role preferred, but not essential as full training provided
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
- Willingness to complete mandatory training modules prior to starting
- An understanding of health and safety
- Basic literacy and communication skills
