We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Teesside. We are developing a new delivery model in Teesside where 3 of our services are combining their knowledge, resource and passion to create one Collaborative Community that continues to expand the offer and support we can provide to those living both in the local community and our care home Montpellier Manor. You will be predominately delivering community-based activities focusing on the engagement, activity and wellbeing provision of our members. You will lead on the development of projects within the community that connect our member and Residents in Montpellier Manor to the wider community by building relationships with relevant partners such as local schools, community groups etc.

There is an expectation to deliver community services across Teesside so you must have a willingness to travel across the locality, as well as attend team meetings, training etc at other MHA’s sites. It is therefore essential to have a driving licence and access to a car. Travel expenses will be paid. There is also an expectation in this role that activities will need to be delivered to our residents in Montpellier Manor, and work alongside Colleagues within the wider Care Home team, Communities team, members and residents, to develop ways to bring members of the community in to the home, and give access to the community to our residents, connecting them to their local community and beyond.

This position requires you to work closely with the community team and care home staff, you will therefore require strong communication and organisation skills. Confidence working on different digital platforms will set you aside from other applicants due to our ever-developing online services used to increase our reach and variation.

The One MHA Community Coordinator will be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of activities, the scope of which will vary depending upon our member’s needs, desires, and abilities. All activities will seek to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness and promote the wellbeing of older people. This programme could include a mix of offerings to stimulate mental as well as physical wellbeing involving a range of activities and exercises either in group sessions or on a 1 to 1 basis. The post holder will also be responsible for recruiting and coordinating a team of volunteers who will support at sessions and maintaining records of member involvement.
