Job description: Operations Finance AnalystHome BasedCountrywide travel: 1 day every 2 weeks in Birmingham– Ad hoc travel to sitesWe are built on people like you, and we are looking to hire a new Operations Finance Analyst to provide financial insight, analysis and support to the Operations Finance Manager & wider 2SFG Team.Some of the main areas you’ll be focussing on will be analysing operational and financial data and creating financial models for decision support. Helping on Continuous Improvement projects to help with efficiencies, waste, costings, overhead cost control, capex & inventory management.We provide excellent training & development to help you succeed & grow. The manager is very focussed on his teams personal development.UK Poultry represents more than half of 2 Sisters business by sales. The division employs over 8,500 people working in a chilled environment to process poultry products which are then marketed to UK consumers via major retailers and foodservice. UK Poultry Division is a £1.4bn turnover business with 7 trading sites.Poultry is the heartbeat of the division with £1.2bn T/O across 7 sites. (Scunthorpe, Willand, Sandycroft, Coupar Angus, Flixton, Site D, Site E).About the role

  • Analysing past results, performing variance analysis and identifying trends to support decision making.
  • Consolidation of site packs weekly/monthly including variance to target/budget.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  • Providing trending analysis and highlighting any financial risks to the Operational Finance Manager
  • Continuously driving process improvements working in conjunction with sites

  • Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or AAT qualified
  • Experienced working in a Manufacturing business (preferably food).
  • Curious mindset and happy to ask lots of questions with a willingness to learn.
  • Advanced computer skills and financial systems (ERPs:- Navision, SAP BPC, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Communicates clearly and simply. Confident in challenging people and an expert in influencing stakeholders.
  • Self-organized, self-motivated, action oriented and efficient.
