Role Purpose
This role has full responsibility for safety, financial, leadership and operational performance of the SAV ITP Operation. The post holder is expected to deliver excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders, customers, airport authorities and third-party suppliers. In addition, will lead and manage the performance and development of direct reports.
Working as part of the wider management team, the post holder will be expected to contribute to and deliver our customer HSE and commercial business plans.
What you will be doing
- Responsibility for the management of all operational activity for the station, in line with SLAs
- To develop, contribute to and agree service delivery standards internally and externally.
- Monitor and report on performance against those standards and to ensure appropriate corrective action is taken to ensure customer requirements are consistently met.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of accidents and near-misses as per SMS and business requirements.
- Ensure adherence to SSPs and address/report as appropriate.
- Ensures compliance with Menzies Fuels and SAV’s business principles for the management of HSSE at Birmingham Airport.
- Demonstrable experience of Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
- Responsible for regular inspections of all facilities according to SAOM, company and HSSE requirements. This to include regular inspections with the Supervisor and Operators.
- Applies Company HR policies, manages employee relations and responsible for the recruitment of new personnel.
- Manages and assists with the preparation of budgets and the raising and issue of purchase orders to suppliers and contractors.
- Define training needs of employees and contractors involved in the prevention, control, and mitigation of major accident hazards.
- Ensure all personnel employees, contractors and external parties involved in the management of major accident hazards are well informed.
- Provides daily support for the needs of all administrative and operational duties required for the safe and efficient operation of site operations.

What we are looking for
- Working knowledge of general business management.
- Demonstrable experience of Health, Safety & Environmental Management.
- Experience in an Aviation Operational Management position (desired)
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships, with business partners and suppliers.
- Proven extensive experience in team leadership and development.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
- Ability to prioritise workload in order of urgency and importance.
- Excellent Communication skills written and oral.
- Proficient in all Microsoft applications
- Demonstrable skills and experience of product handling and control
