A fabulous design opportunity has become available for one of our client’s, a leading supplier to major fashion retailers in the UK and internationally. Working within a great team environment in fabulous West end offices,Experience working on ladies’ outerwear is essential and ideally some denim experience would be highly advantageous . Previous supplier experience is required for this role.
Main Responsibilities will include
- Research the market and carry out careful analysis to have a strong understanding of the most up to date trends.
- Remaining aware of and implementing direction and innovation across fabric/ colour/ shape.
- Creating on-trend, forward-thinking, yet commercial designs in response to briefs.
- Create and develop designs tailored to the company’s customer base. Identifying and understanding the end needs of specific customers.
- Produce accurate and detailed CADs to present to buyers
- Produce accurate and detailed Technical Packs for product development
- Present range to customers in a confident manner
- Communicating effectively with team members in the UK and China.
- Overseeing the development of sampling, ensuring deadlines are met for your customers.
- Support Heads of Dept with other business.
Person Requirements:
- Passionate, creative and ambitious
- Effective knowledge of fabric/materials
- previous experience working for a supplier and dealing with high fashion retailers
- Experience designing ladies outerwear.
- Denim design experience highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent design portfolio and strong CAD Skills required.
Expected salary: £32000 – 35000 per year
